How To Make Your Home Smell Like Christmas

Christmas to me has certain smell, strange as it may sound hang with me as I explain. There are all sorts of things that create a Christmas smell for me and nothing makes me happier than opening my front door to be greeted by my house smelling all festive!

Here is my list of some of the things you can do to create your own Christmas smell...

1. Buy Christmas themed Candles
As I am writing this blog I have got my Santa's Pantry Sugar Cookie candle burning away and not only is it filling my room sugary biscuit-y goodness, it's also making me want to put my apron and make a batch of my own. Which brings me to my next point..

2. Get Baking!
Nothing smells greater than a fresh batch of ginger bread cookies, christmas cupcakes, mince pies etc I could go on and on but not only is it something fun and festive to do it creates such a homely smell throughout your house!

3. Buy a real Christmas Tree
Christmas trees to me have such a great earthy smell. I absolutely love them.

4. Make Mulled wine or Mulled cider
Having a lovely pan of wine/cider with a mix of fruit and spices bubbling away will fill your house full of aromatic smells in no times. Also helps that you can have a glass after too.

5. Clove Oranges (my favourite)
Stud cloves into an orange in any pattern you fancy and then you can either pop them in a town with some Christmas potpourri or you can wrap a bit of ribbon round them and hang them about the house.  Te aroma they give off is amazing and not too mention very festive.

Let me know in the comments, if you think Christmas has a certain smell and if so, I'd love to hear from you!
